The people from http://www.petsmobility.com/ have found out a way to talk to you dog, and really understand what they say… at least, that’s what they say. Most people will react with: wow, that’s bullshit. It probably is, but there is evidence that animals can talk.. so maybe your dog can too!
Dolphins, for example, learn “names” of their closest buddies, well, the sound that their buddies produce. The dolphin can call his friend in that way by immitating his sound, and yes, his friend will come to him!
Whales find a partner by singing. Scientists really have found a sort of repeating melody in the sounds, and the female whales react on those songs. But ofcourse, not only water animals can communicate.

Women are always being made fun of for having premenstrual syndrome. Yes, the infamous PMS. Whether a woman is on her period or not, she is accused of having PMS if she is just having a bad day. What happens though when the symptoms of PMS become much more severe? When these PMS symptoms begin to interfere with your every day tasks and social events, it’s not just normal PMS. This is due to the most severe form of PMS symptoms, known as premenstrual dystrophic disorder (PMDD).

PMDD is a combination of physical and emotional symptoms that occur five to eleven days before a women’s period begins. The symptoms usually go away when menstruation begins or soon after. PMDD affects three to five percent of women within child bearing age. It is most common in who are in their late twenties to early forties who have at least one child and a history of depression, anxiety, tension, affective lability or irritability and anger. The cause of PMDD is unknown, but it is believed to be related to hormonal changes that occur before menstruation.

If you want a new challange and if you like chess, you can start playing shogi, the Japanese variant on chess. At http://trout.customer.netspace.net.au/ you can download a small program so you can play several variants on shogi, and shogi itself against a computer. The AI of the computer is a bit low, but if you’re a beginner, like me, that shouldn’t be a big problem.
If you want a real challenge, try the Dai Shogi variant. The board is 15 by 15, and it has a lot of pieces with different functions, quite hard.

I promise you, this beats Minesweeper.

I’ve always had really bad allergies, but it seems that within the past two years or so they have become ten times worse. I can handle those pesky little allergies that come from pollen and pet dander and such, but the food allergies are driving me crazy. I am awake now at 1:30a.m. because I’m itching and totally miserable. I have no idea what I’m having a reaction to. It could be from something I ate today or from what I’ve read it could be from something I ate yesterday. I have a rash almost everywhere and the itching is constant and almost unbearable. Benadryl provides some relief, but not quite enough and if the itching doesn’t stop soon I may be in need of Prozac.

After installing the windows xp software against illegal versions of windows that may harm your computer (or microsofts budget)they offered me to install their anti-spyware program, Windows Defender, as a bonus for legal users of windows.

A short time ago I tried the beta version of windows defender, and compared it to the anti spyware software Ad-Aware. At that moment my conclusion was that Windows Defender was as helpfull as notepad against spyware, it was telling me: “The computer runs normally”. Ad-Aware found about nine pieces of low-threat spyware, so it wasn’t that normal…

Seeing this new version, I wanted to test it again.

Sony has come up with the latest addition to it’s walkman series - the NW-A800 series.

They come in the 1GB,2GB,4GB and 8GB models. The sound quality is superb with video playback and a battery life of around 8 hours.

The NW-A800 series comes bundled with the Sonic stage software. It weighds in at 53g and is about 8.3mm thin.

I remember when I got my first credit and it was from a department store. The credit was only 200.00 dollars but I felt happy about being able to go to the mall and buy some junk with a card. I had a minimum wage job and had applied for regular cards like Visa and Mastercard and been denied a few times by those.

But one day I was offered an application at a department store and I filled it out and was approved. After paying for a few months on it in good standing I started receiving invites to other credit card places including the big names that denied me previously.

My car needed new tires so the second card I opted for was at a local tire shop. I paid that off in two months and was offered a higher limit and I really didn’t think that was necessary. I mean, how many tires can I buy in a year?

There are often images or beacons that send call backs to spammers and the nasty thing about this is it indicates to them that they have hit a valid email address and you’ll wind up on a list that they will sell to other spam botches. err I mean bots.

Beacons are used by yahoo as stated in their terms of service. They tell you they DO collect personal information from you.

In my last post I talked about a 3 day old baby that was taken from a hospital near where I live. I’m happy to announce that the baby was found unharmed and returned home to her family. The Amber Alert network has done yet again what it was designed to do.

Hopefully the hospital will make a great effort in order to prevent this from happening again. This was a happy ending, but what if it happens again? Will that baby make it home safe and sound?
