From out of the south they came - cold, silent and incredibly exciting for the public of New Zealand!

Just a few weeks ago one of the most remarkable sights to be seen in New Zealand waters for many a day, was the phenomenon of the icebergs that had broken off the Antarctic iceflow and slowly drifted northwards over a number of years.It was the first time in 75 years that icebergs had been seen near New Zealand.

This created considerable interest in the blogesphere with a number of posts being written in various blogsites, including a couple by me. The flotilla of varying sizes of icebergs slowly approached New Zealand from the south and inched northwards at between 75-150km off the east coast of the South Island.

Getting mails lately regarding a new version of Google toolbar for download ? Beware of the mail, because there has been a virus writer who wrote a Trojan program and made it look like Google Toolbar. Here is how it goes, spam message that originate from the Trojan are being circulated and the message contain an offer to download the latest version of Google Toolbar with the link provided. The link will provide the user with a website which was design to look exactly alike Google website. An option to download the toolbar for the user’s browser will then be provided. The moment the toolbar is downloaded , the Trojan will be activated, turning the user’s pc into a mail spamming machine and also providing a back door for hacker to access the user’s computer.

Since I started blogging 14 months ago, I have so far created more than 500 blog posts.

Though I have been extremely cautious about not hurting anyone’s sentiment and beliefs, I actually wanted to know my limitations and rights as a blogger.

Today I came to know about a website named “electronic frontier foundation” whose main objective is to give bloggers a basic roadmap to the legal issues that may confront as a blogger, to let the bloggers know their rights, and to encourage them to blog freely with the knowledge that their legitimate speech is protected.

Many expert warned of the possibility of Trojans and bots pretending to be normal chat or Voip programs. The MyTob is one of it , its categories under Malware. Malware infect the system and establishes a connection to the hacker by assimilating the flow of data as normal message. The firewall will not prevent these packets from flowing through.

For the solution, security experts have drastically warned for chat programs to be totally banned from usage. If administrators decide to block all chatting activities, surely the internet will be a safer place. However, this can only be realistically implemented in offices rather than for home users.

Gastritis is a condition characterized by inflammation of the lining of your stomach. The symptoms includes:

In some cases, gastritis can lead to ulcers and can increased risk of stomach cancer.

Gastritis maybe divided into 2 categories:

1.Acute Gastritis: This normally occurs suddenly and combined with nausea, and discomfort in the upper abdomen or burning pain.
2.Chronic Gastritis: This develops gradually and usually will have a loss of appetite after a few bites of food or fullness feeling and a dull pain.

New Zealand volunteer firefighters are the first casualties among Anzac firefighters - their efforts and actions publicly commended by Australian Prime Minister, John Howard.They have come 2.000 miles from the comfort of their families and homes to help battle some of the worst bushfires in decades in Victoria.

A group of New Zealand firefighters had to dive for cover as a blazing inferno was about to engulf them. Nine of them have required hospital treatment - a number were treated for severe burns, and one was seriously burnt around the face and suffered respiratory problems; his condition was described as comfortable. One of the men who had more minor burns is jumping at the leash to get back out there and do what he came over fom New Zealand to do - fight fires!
