Google currently drives the most traffic to websites that rank at the top of their organic results. But this requires some knowledge about what exactly is Google is looking for in websites to place it on top of its search results.
I confess I am not an expert in Google’s algorithm but I can understand if it is explained in plain terms like the blog post by Usweb.
I take the liberty of mentioning here a few very valid points that enables one to increase link popularity of his website.
Page Rank, which is roughly the score Google gives your website to determine how popular it is on the internet.
I really would like to know if this is true that companies in America pay us to take part in surveys.
In my 8 years of internet experience, none that I knew personally told that me that he has indeed received money by a paid to answer survey website.
I noticed an increase of advertisements through email nowadays. But I never had the courage to try it since all are asking for upfront money.
But some of online contacts have advertised in their blogs that they are getting paid. These are my long time contacts, so I there is no ground on which I can doubt them.
I read the news in computer world that phony e-mail seeks personal information, threatens to close accounts.
May be senserely members in U.S. might be aware of it already.
But in case if it is not so, I thought this may be useful to you.
“In a statement published on its Web site, the SSA said it has received several reports of an e-mail being circulated with the subject header of “Cost-of-Living for 2007 update.”
“The e-mail is designed to appear as if it were from the agency and provides information about a 3.3% benefit increase for 2007. It then proceeds to ask the recipient for personal information warning that those who failed to provide it by Nov. 11 would have their accounts suspended indefinitely.”

The ProBlogger job board is where hundreds of bloggers (including me) visit several times in a day to find out if there is any new opening for bloggers.

Though I have been there quite frequently, so far no offer matched my area of interest.

Find everything you can about Apple, iPods, Safari and other internet utilities.
To name an example under internet utilities category, the author has written about ‘Free Online Storage’
I quote:
“There are literally hundreds or thousands of sites that feature some sort of online file storage, from sites like Flikr with photos to imageshack for small files. However, none of those allow a personal storage space for all types of files, your own online hard drive.
Yes, I agree that I have crossed the studious age but I am sure
qualified to become an online teacher. After all, I have been teaching for the past 18 years and I feel I am still a fresher when teaching is concerned.
In fact my husband and my old students are asking me why I should not take up a teaching for a college course online because I am the most qualified maths teacher. I am embarrassed at their exaggeration.
May be I should try to teach some of the 16,000 students of Capella University which is an accredited university by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, located at Chicago.
I stumble onto this site when I was looking for a few travel blogs to write about as a part of my ghost blogger assignment.
Though I am not much of a traveler due to lack of time, I love reading travelogs always.
I derive a secondary pleasure while reading about wonderful places in the world.
I saw several posts in Travelhiker.com, but so far nothing impressed me. But then taste differs-right?
The site presents two interesting features in its home page-‘Trips offered and Trips Wanted’. I believe this will be the most visited section of this website.
From the largest continuous kiss in Paris to the most garlic eaten in a minute in New Zealand, many more weird attempts are planned for the 2008 Guinness records event.
The editor of Guinness records Craig Glenday said that there is an increase of 173% in the approved applications over last year.
AFP reports some of the most bizarre attempts are going to be witnesses from all parts of the world.
New Yorkers will watch over an attempt of holding the maximum number of rattle snakes in the mouth.
Dublin will see someone try to be the world’s fastest accordion player.
I wonder how the New Zealanders are going to endure the stench from the garlic eating attempt.
Phishing is one of the most rapidly growing means of internet
fraud. There are an estimated 6.1 billion phishing e-mails sent
every month and the average financial loss for each person who
gets “phished” is $1,200.
Briefly, the scam works like this: Someone assumes the identity
of a trusted corporation and sends you an e-mail with a clickable
link asking you to update your details.
When you click on the link you are taken to a fake website which
is disguised to look like the site of the company being impersonated.
Any data you enter at this site will be used to defraud you.
That’s the short version - there are some variations and different
According to market share by netapplications Google hold 52% of the total

A goldsmith can transform an ounce of gold into 300 square feet.
But then, who is interested in such trivial facts about gold or for that matter any precious metals?
If I say that gold coins buying and stroing is much easier than before through Monex Deposit Company (MDC), then it may make the readers curious.
From the ages of ancient Romans, man has been fascinated with the beauty and magic of gold, and with its power to change men’s lives. Today, the beauty of a gold bar lies in its proven ability to diversify investments, protect wealth and preserve one’s purchasing power.

I am definitely not bothered because I am a die hard vegetarian.
But I do share my concern with eco enthusiasts.
A study published in Friday’s issue of the journal Science makes a dire prediction for the world’s ocean life. According to researchers, there will be no seafood left to catch by 2048, except for jellyfish, which will thrive in the new, collapsed ecosystem.
Luckily, they say that jellyfish have the same nutritional content as shrimp, which is pretty darn good.
To arrive at the conclusion that there will be no more fish by 2048, the scientists looked at a number of data sources, including global fishing data from the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization, fishing data from all 64 major global marine ecosystems between 1950 and 2003, results from individual studies of marine areas by local scientists — including a study of the San Francisco Bay and its surrounding rivers — and data from 48 marine areas protected by conservation measures.
With everyone bashing Microsoft about how easy it was for Internet Explorer 6 to become hijacked with spyware, it’s only natural that Microsoft decided to do something about. Originally release as Microsoft AntiSpyware, Windows Defender is a free tool designed to prevent, remove, and quarantine spyware on Windows, XP, 2003, and Vista.
Windows Defender not only features scanning of the system similar to other free anti-spyware on the market, but also includes a number of Real-Time Security Agents that monitor several common areas of Windows for changes which may be caused by spyware. It also includes the ability to easily remove ActiveX applications that are installed, and integrated is support for Microsoft’s SpyNet. SpyNet allows users to report to Microsoft what they consider to be spyware, and what applications and device drivers they allow to be installed on their system.
For anyone who wants to begin creating a podcast, podcast hosting is the most important part. Before anyone can begin distributing a podcast, they need a place to store the files and keep the feed file that will tell their subscribers about the new episodes available. The first thing required is a domain name where the site will be located. Many domain registrars are available who will help one register a domain name for a small fee. Once the domain is registered, hosting is required, and again there are many different companies willing to do the hosting for a small fee. One of those is bluehost.com, but many others are available. When looking for a host, the most important thing is to make sure that a lot bandwidth and storage space is available and cheap. Since podcasting deals with large media files, a lot of disk space will be taken up storing the files and bandwidth will be eaten quickly when they are downloaded by the subscribers.
