Week of October 01, 2006 to October 07, 2006

Every day, I get several hundred e-mails, some days over a thousand. A lot of these are spam - according to a recent Doubleclick survey 62% of the mail in our inbox is considered SPAM.

But I don’t use a spam blocker - I don’t like them. I have plenty experience of sending e-mails to my friends who, when asked, tell me they didn’t receive them. I use different e-mails from yahoo and MSN when I’m signing up for newsletters and free offers around the net - I keep my main personal e-mail pretty restricted.

The other thing is - and please don’t hate me for this - I don’t really mind spam. I don’t like it for sure and I would never spam anyone myself - but neither do I think that all spammers are evil monsters with the horns, pointy tail, cloven hooves and pitchfork ensemble.

The usual sentence will be ‘The end of a long road’, but I sincerely see this as a beginning.

Like me, many bloggers may not be aware of a new service from google. I accidentally stumbled on to this only a few hours ago.

It is about google’s blog search and pinging service.

Google says,” The Google Blog Search Pinging Service attempts to share its pings with the rest of the world.”.

By using their advanced search options, you can search blogs in 35 languages.

There is even a ‘safe search’ function to filter out adult content.

There is a great difference between the div tag and span tag. The span tag does not take you to the next line but div tag takes you on the next line. i was building a website and faced a problem involving this issue.Actually div and span, both are used to structure the document.I was using span with css to build a menu but soon released that when the user refreshes the content, he will see all the urls which he has visited earlier comes in line and all other remains separate.This is really frustating.
