Coming June 2009, Google will be withdrawing Google Pages and will be hosting those sites with Google Sites. Limitation with google sites is that it can not be used to host any files. Though Google will take care of the migration of websites from Google pages to Google sites, you won’t see any files hosted with Google Pages in Google Sites as the latter is not actually provide hosting.

Many blogspot bloggers might have reference to the stylesheets, images and scripts that might be hosted with Google Pages. So you need to act fast and get those files hosted with other sites to maintain a constant look and feel of your website.
Here is an easy way to backup your site from Google Pages along with the files hosted. You will get a .zip file as a backup.
You should be signed in at Google accounts and now enter http://pages.google.com/migrationInfo/site_name . Replace site_name with your site name. Now on the page that comes up go right down and based on your website and file size, you will get a single or multipart file. Download and keep that as a back up.
You are now safe.
