Hypertension dampens the function of multiple organs
A study using the data of 50 million people with elevated blood pressure showed that only 70% of them were aware of their diagnosis, 50 % were receiving some sort of treatment, and only 25% were under the 140/90 mm Hg threshold.
In the year 2001, the death toll that resulted from high blood pressure (hypertension) already reached 20,000 in USA alone. The figure doesn’t include deaths arising from subsequent hypertensive complications such as stroke and coronary heart diseases. Hypertension is a hazardous condition whereby it will improve multiple deteriorating effects on our body’s vital organs especially our heart, brain, and kidneys.
