67. Hello all after almost one year (29.09.2008)

Hello all, I have a strange and annoyingh problem with my computer for quite some time now (please see the “65. I totally hate unplanned reboots (3.11.2007)”: http://www.senserely.com/tayiper-65_i_totally_hate_unplanned… “blog-entry” here on my blog), namely it’s the problem with my computer restarting (note that there’s no BSOD, CHKDSK is not scheduled after they occur, there is no entry in the Event Viewer, I know for sure that the temperature is also not the cause etc.) on various unrelated occasions, be it executing a certain program, or visiting some particular site (usually, the one with “heavy graphics” or with many ads like “Senserely” has), and this is the one and only reason for not posting “blog-entries” on this blog of mine anymore for the last year.

Anyway, first I thought that it might be a dying hard-disk, a dying PSU, or maybe even a dying motherboard (or some other part/component) causing it, but in the end it seems that the culprit is non-working fan on my PSU, and also the one on my ASUS/NVIDIA graphic-card appears to not be spinning/working correctly.

But note that I do read each and every issue of “Senserely Yours” newsletter anyway, and so I am still a part of the community. And yes, I am also a bit lazy (and a bit without money) to finally go to a store and buy a new PSU (that’s probably the cause), and also I’ve more or less learned how to avoid them (i.e. to avoid these restarts) so they don’t occur daily or so anymore, but now I can run my PC for weeks without such restart. So it simply is not a first thing on my current “priorities list”. However, today I am making an exception and I posted a new “blog-entry” after almost a full year.

Otherwise, everything was more or less as usual during this time. P.S. - If everything will turn out all right I am planning to post another one (i.e. another “blog-entry”) in a following few days; probably I will write about my general personal website, and Google AdSense (only the english variant) and ToboAds (only the slovenian variant) contextual advertising programs that I pariticipate in and from which ads are shown on the mentioned website.
