Interesting article reported on Reuters website that Kangaroos around Australia’s national capital will soon be fed a contraceptive pill by authorities trying to control their booming population.
In the same report it claimed that in Canberra, a city of about 300,000 people, kangaroos were responsible for 600 car accidents in 2004.
This reminds me of the days when I was studying in Australia. Then, as a foreigner in Australia, it facinated me when Kangaroo line the dirt road in the early morning. I had to drive so slowly to avoid any accident.
