A young American girl Amanda Knox is in prison in Italy, held as a murder suspect in a brutal murder. ABC television is running its popular 20/20 program on her story.

Amanda Knox was known as a hard working, sensible girl, and a bright student at the University of Washington.

In August 2007 Amanda went to do her junior year in Perugia in Italy. One of the room-mates in the cottage with whom she shared was a British girl Meredith Kercher. One November night Kercher was brutally murdered. The police after some investigation arrested Amanda and her boyfriend as murder suspects. She has been protesting her innocence ever since.

She said she was not present, but at one point she spoke of having a “vision” of being there.

One man claimed he actually saw an intruder escaping, after Kercher had obviously been attacked, and he said Knox was never at the scene.
