Some people say they dont matter - well thats false. META tags, although not used by some search engines, can be used to improve rankings and performance in popular searches as well as SAVE TIME.
How?
Well.. if someone whishes to advertise their website, they will most likely advertise on a newsboard, or similar. The most modern of these advertising facilities allow visitors to type in their domain and instantly, all the information needed (such as keywords, description) appears in the forms - it has been lifted from the META tags attached to the index page of the domain. Clever, heh?
Oh.. and by the way.. it asl saves a heck of a lot of time, typing it all out again and again!
