The Importance of Drinking Water For Weight Loss.

She Told Me

We all know that we should be getting around 8 glasses of water a day. But, when we’re trying to lose weight, or exercising to get in shape, it’s even more important.

Water carries with it the obvious benefit of keeping your body hydrated, but it also makes you feel fuller, without tacking on extra calories. So, we should all be making more of an effort to get more water into our systems.

Drinking water can also help your body to burn calories at a faster rate. And, since that “full” feeling is triggered when you drink a glass of water, you’re less likely to find yourself overeating.

If, like me, plain old water seems boring, or far too bland to make an enjoyable drink, try adding a little flavor to it. Personally, I like sour, so I add a little bit of lemon or lime juice to my water, to spruce it up a bit. You could add any kind of fresh fruit juice though, just don’t add any additional sugar, as that won’t help in your endeavor to lose weight. They also sell a variety of low calorie flavorings now, specifically meant to add a little kick to your boring old glass of water. So, experiment with different flavors, find a few that you like, and drink as much water every day as you can!
