Molly Ringwald Back in Action.

Molly Ringwald was such a popular figure in the 80’s, it only seemed right to make a post about her, now that she’s starring in The Secret Life of The American Teenager, an original ABC Family television series.

She’s had little bit parts (like, in “Not Another Teen Movie”), and appeared in various series through the years, but nothing that was really eye-catching. And, it’s been a while since I’ve seen any kind of promotional commercial, using her name to push a show or movie.

I must say that I find it interestingly ironic that she’ll be playing the mother, especially considering how many of her teenage characters put their moms through quite a bit! Still, if for no other reason then pure nostalgia, I plan on watching a couple episodes of the show.

Heck, I’d just like to see if she’s finally aged a bit! Can I tell you how ticked off I was to see her in “Not Another Teen Movie”, looking like she could still play a sixteen year old and get away with it (if we didn’t all know better by now)?! Seriously!

I was born in 1981! I was younger then she, when I watched all her movies! I should look younger then her! Dammit Janet!

Okay, I’m done now. I’m sorry you had to “see” me like that. I’m back now.

In any event, the show looks like it’ll be more on the dramatic side, much like the show, The O.C., which isn’t my cup of tea, personally. BUT, it does have Molly in it. So, I’m sure I can deal. :D
