Working on the next part of the blog traffic increase article, I got to investigate one of the categories for the Blog Promotion, as Blog Review Exchange. It is fairly similar to the more popular category of Sponsored Reviews, or Pay per Post, but the major difference is related to the absence of any monetary interest and monetary transactions between the parties in the Free Review Exchange sites. For me, it is a big difference because I am fanatically committed to use the only investment in the Blog monetization: my time and dedication. Another reason to separate these categories is legal. If you are enjoying AdSense account related income, you need to be aware, that the Google AdSense is not very happy about this kind of a “side business”, and might stop it any time as needed. Complimentary reviews exchange is not intruding in any of the AdSense program regulations and guidelines.
Reviewing a free reviews exchange opportunities, I would divide this category onto two sub-categories. The first one is related to the Web Sites dedicated to the reviews exchange business (as LinkReferral). The second sub-directory is covering the individual blogs, specializing on the other blogs reviews. Most of this blogs require from an owner of the reviewed site a reciprocal review of their blog in exchange. The only one, I found, that do not consider the reciprocal review posting as a mandatory condition, is OurBlogReview. That is why; my tonight featured review will be dedicated to this blog and its services.
First appearance of this blog on the Internet pages can be found on February, 2007. However, you will find a huge design and functionality improvements from its first online steps. Now, it is a well-known site with Alexa ranking 660,846 (as of today). As I mentioned already, the first feature that did draw my attention to this site, was lack of the mandatory reciprocal review requirement in exchange for your blog review. I am sure; it is a smart move, as most of the reviewed Blog owners will feel the moral obligations to do something for the OurBlogReview, and will submit the review or, at least link, in exchange. The second feature, I liked is the response time. The review was placed on the site in less than 12 hours from the request submission. Fast turnaround for me means the respect to the user’s request. As Senior Customer Support Manager in High Tech, I know quite well, that sometimes timeliness of reply is valued as high as the quality of reply.
