I have been in business for over 20 years, and can recall several opportunities that excited me and energized me to the point that I had a deep urge to dive right in and push forward my success. After a short while that energy would dissipate and leave me feeling like a failure, only to await the next opportunity to repeat the cycle.
As the years progressed I found that the opportunities that bought the least amount of initial urge, where opportunities that I would spend time analyzing and researching. These were the business opportunities that I’d put alot of long term planning into.
Creating a daily plan, as opposed to having that “right now” “do it all” plan, tended to allow me to do a lot of small things on a daily basis, therefore spreading my energy for the opportunity over the duration of the project instead of giving my all in the beginning and having nothing left to finish the project.
So, I’ve learned that the little things you do over the course of time, can definitely contribute to the long term success of your business.
