I felt it is my duty to bring to your kind attention about a new way of extortion.
Among several online consumer protection companies, Rip-Off Report is a worldwide consumer reporting Website & Publication, by consumers, for consumers, to file & document complaints about companies or individuals who ripoff consumers.
But things turned not for the benefit of its customers when they failed to check to make sure consumer complaints are legitimate which has lead to controversy and extortion.
What happened?
There have been allegations of The RipOff Report creating fake complaints about companies for the purpose of extortion. The Rip Off Report uses the ranking power of their website to rank for companies names and use those rankings to extort money.
The man responsible is Ed Magedson, the owner of RipOffReport.com and it seems like many companies are looking for him and are tying to sue him for posting fraudulent information.
Usweb.com have successfully worked with one company already to push the Rip Off Report ranking back into Google and remove it from the top rankings that are unfairly hurting companies.
All such victims can contact them for earlier resolution of their problem.

I think your report is right
I checked out the company I contract through, but after I started, because I didn’t know about RIPOFF report…the things I read made me apprehensive about continuing business with them. But I was in the middle of something and had to wait til it’s end. Everything went off without a hitch. I have since done more business with this company, not having any problems. I understand each circumstance can be different, but I would have run into the same issues, had the rip off claims been true, and I did not.
