Intro
Looking at me you might see a youth lost and confused about his cultural roots and how much I ignored the fact that this life wasn’t going to ever change. Let me break it down for you I was raise with my family, uncles, aunties, and cousins in Stockton California in a 3 bedroom house with over 15 people under one roof. Looking back I realize my family made it a long way from the mainland to America. At first glance its evident I wasn’t the only one living in a home wit more then one family member with the presence of struggle, pain and confusion. Coming to a country alienated from the old surroundings of the land we once knew. The way these people spoke was something unheard of, it amazed me how I transition into a country that didn’t accept us. Let me take this story back as far as I remember leaving my country on the journey to pave a better future for my family. I was a child never really understood what was the point of fleeing a country where everything we knew would be forgotten.
