I want to be a CEO

ceo | Dell | Home Depot | Nardelli

I want to be a CEO. Not necessarily to run a company, but to just get ousted from the company. I could run the number one company in a market and let it fall, and walk away with nearly $50 million cash. Sweet deal? That’s basically what Dell’s ex-CEO Kevin Rollins got. Don’t forget Home Depot’s kicked out CEO, the “king of compensation” Robert Nardelli. He made off with over $200 million in total compensation after shareholders decided they didn’t like him. Even the retirement perks are great. Jack Welch got an 80K a month apartment, corporate jet, box seats at MLB games, and tons of other stuff. That was on TOP of his pay, and they even kept him on the payroll as a “consultant” for something like 80K a year. That’s good work if you can get it. Heck, why get ousted from a company for one big payoff, when you can lose money for shareholders, like Nardelli did, or a telco CEO banking over 100 mil in 5 years while losing money for investors. I’m on my way to be a CEO, at least for a little while.
