Today we are at the Maas River in Rotterdam, Netherlands where we will watch the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, the race planes used here are the following: the Edge 540, the MXS and the Extra 300SR, the planes are very light weight with a special steering system to make them perform alot better than most other aircraft. The pilots and airplanes face high g force. Around 12 g.
The pilots steer the planes over the water between air filled pylons, they have to navigate the plane with the fastest time and fly as low as they can between these pylons. It is very amazing to watch them and listen to them as they fly by. Here are three videos. I do hope you enjoy.
