New Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera

c433 | digital camera | dpi | EasyShare | Kodak | mega pixel | mov | quicktime | resolution | video ability

I have finally taken the steps to join all the others out there that are using the digital cameras.

I have chosen the Kodak EasyShare model C433 4 mega pixel and I feel that I have gotten a pretty good deal on a pretty nice camera. This is my first one besides those little cheap web cam things.

This camera can travel with me and take video and photos and it even crops and zooms. You can edit photos right inside of the camera screen, pretty amazing!

This one puts out a 120 dpi. Dpi is used for printer communication from what I have come to understand. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to make these less right now, I need to shorten them to a 72 dpi, and I’ve been browsing and posting around different places this morning trying to get some valuable input so that I can meet the requirements of a project I am working on.

I do not know what an optional SD or MMC card is, but the camera is operational without it. However, the storage is limited, so I am thinking that I really need to buy a card to make the camera hold more photos and video.

The video puts out in a .mov format which is by Quicktime, (I think) and I do not have a whole lot of experience with it, but the camera only holds a few seconds of this before it gets a full memory. There is also a microphone in the camera and it records sound with your video. Pretty cool!

Registration of the product online will give me access to a more thorough information guide. I think I will make this on my to do list for later this evening and see what I can learn. The accompanying booklet is very basic, so I do need all the help I can get :)

If you have any suggestions to help me learn more about my new camera, I’d appreciate them. Thanks!

buy a 1 or 2GB SD card and

buy a 1 or 2GB SD card and you’ll be enjoying your camera much more, especially for movies. The really good thing I bought sometime ago is the JVC camcorder Everio, with 20GB hard drive and 2.2M pixels, nice zoom and everything, can also take photos (with flash) and a SD card.

I Am Taking Your Advice About The 1 gig Card for Digital Camera

Hi,
Thanks for that information on buying a memory card for my new Kodak Digital camera. I am browsing today to look for a card and I think I will go with a 1 G card and see how that does because I want to stay on budget for now and not go crazy, but I would love to be able to get out there and record some footage and some photos. The flowers are in bloom right now. The lilies are so beautiful. I want to go take some snapshots of my very own of them.

Thanks again, for the advice :)

I still haven’t quite got my comprehension around how much time I can put on the video vs how big the card is, but I’m trying to get the specifics on this now. I am wondering how long a battery will hold up while shooting a video. I guess I’ll have to learn this the hard way and then share my exeperience at a later time :)
