Have you heard the latest? It seems that there is an interstellar agency wanting to expand our solar system. They want to add three more planets to the ones we already have. This is causing quite a stir with astronomers.

They are wanting to go from 9 to twelve. One commentator says that it can’t happen because one of the proposed planets isn’t a planet at all, but a moon. Difference between planet and moon? Planets rotate around the sun, moons rotate around the planet. It seems that until now, we actually had no true definition of a planet. Now they are making one. But it is meeting with some real hostility.
The Internation Astronomical Union now has to consider new names for these orbiting masses. As soon as they finish the “new” definition of planet. Some are arguing that now posters have to be re-drawn, textbooks re-written, guides updated, and for what? Most of the general population can’t even name the nine planets we have now. So it seems that the only ones really concerned right now are the seeker of the stars, anyways.
