Well, I got another lesson in life today. I had signed up with a company that takes inbound calls. Today was my first day. What a way to make money…..yeah right! hahahahaha……As I was taking my calls and answering questions and fielding respones, it dawned on me, if the customer could see me, they would freak!
It is a great way to make money, I have to admit. I can stay at home and clean, do laundry, blog, get supper ready, blog some more, make the beds, feed the pets, blog again…….no seriously, it was great to know that if there was an emergency at school, my children could reach me and I could go get them, if need be. (and of course, they called) I am making a great dinner, that I have time to do now. The house is clean….I didn’t say spotless, but the laundry is all done, floors scrubbed. And all done between phone calls.
But what made me start laughing was seeing the expo’s on those 900 numbers where it shows some lady ironing with a child tugging on her shirt, and she’s just going on with the “ooh baby” speech like it was the best sex she ever had. The caller being none the wiser.
I have to admit, the training needs just a little improvement, but all in all, it was a great experience. Great job, talk on the phone and play on the computer all day.
