Does your AMD-based computer boot after installing XP SP3? Here’s a fix for your problems.

After installing Windows XP SP3 on some AMD machines, mainly HP machines with an OEM splash screen and some ASUS motherboards for being detected as not being 100% ACPI compliant, and your computer refuses to boot. The following is a fix for you.

Jesper Johansson has put together a small tool to help you fix those problems. But be please note! You can only use this tool on AMD equipped computers. Don’t apply the fix if you have an Intel based computer.
