Scratch is a new programming language designed with learning and education in mind. With Scratch you can easily make your own interactive stories, animations, games, music and art. All this creations you can than share on the web.
Infact, Scratch is programming language for kids (age 8 and up). As they create Scratch objects, they learn important mathematical and logical ideas and understand computing processes. And, of course, Scratch is very fun! On the Scratch Main site is a gallery of projects made by kids. There they can share animations, games and interactive stories made by Scratch.
Scratch is developed by Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab with financial support from the National Science Foundation and Intel Foundation.
Scratch is free of charge, it has excellent suport with video and pdf documents.
