AP tells Bloggers: "Quote 5 words, pay us a $12.50 fee"

Have you seen what’s going on with the Associated Press and the blogosphere? I’m sure most of you have. From Michael Arrington’s stance on the issue to his sending the AP a bill for $12.50 for quoting him after they declared that bloggers would have to pay them to quote them.

Yes, I took a few days off from keeping tabs on things and since I looked back at it the Internet has since been filled with chaos about the AP vs. the blogosphere every where I look. I’m not sure just where this is going to end up, but I’ll be interested to see. I even wrote up a few lengthy pieces on the events myself.

I will, of course, be watching closely as this all unfolds.
