Melaka may be synonymous with history but the state has much to offer that just that.
For instance, the annual Raptor watch sees avid bird watchers congregating every March at Tanjung Tuan, the crossing point and rest stop for migratory birds. Some of the species are Japanese sparrowhawk, grey-faced buzzard, Chinese goshawk and honey buzzard.
For Turtle lovers you can visit to the Turtle Management Centre at Padang Kemunting where one can learn about turtle conservation and may have chance to see hatchling released into the sea. If you are looking for some fun under the sun, Pulau Besar and Pulau Ubeh is ideal for swimming, fishing, snorkeling, camping, picnic while Pulau Ubeh is also a nesting ground for Hawksbill turtles.
