When it comes to renovating your house, you sometimes have to cut corners to keep within your budget or it will get away from you. Next thing you know, you are in the “while you are at it” syndrome, and that will add up fast.
Instead of tearing down walls, maybe refinish them? Take the time to do some research, you may find there is a product out there that could help with your problem walls, and save you the expense of replacing drywall, which usually ends up costing you quite a bit, as the ceilings will get damamged as well.
Unless you are doing a big renovation that takes you back to the stud walls, try and spend your money on the things that matter, such as cabinets, bathrooms etc, and try and save on other things, such as wall finishes and floor coverings. There are always ways around problems, but you just have to take the time to do some research.
