Losing love handles, can be one of the hardest parts of getting slim. You could do sit ups until the cows come home, but in reality, love handles are pockets of fat, and the best way to address them is with cardio and losing a few more pounds. I know sounds boring!
From personal experience, I watched all those commercials, with those totally “ripped” muscle bound people using equipment that is suppose to give you this rock hard body in a short period of time.
I worked out very hard, with weights and resistance bands, and at the end of a six week workout of mostly resistance training, I ended up with a rock hard muscle in my belly … covered with this layer of blobby fat!.
It was that day that I realized, weight loss and staying slim, took more than just weight lifting or resistance training, it took watching what you eat, and aerobic type exercise as well. Yes, there is really no substitute for getting sweaty, when it comes to losing love handles.
There is really no getting around the fact, that we need to work up a bit of a sweat to burn some fat, and we need to realize that we can not work off that chocolate bar no matter how much we try.
Sit ups are great for strengthening your inner core, and keeping your back strong, but do not instantly melt off fat.
So, how to lose those love handles?.. A bit of this and a bit of that.. meaning cut back on your portion sizes of food, and do more biking, dancing or fast walking, or jogging if that is your thing, to break into a sweat, plus a bit of weight lifting and resistance training. You have to do all three, and for me, this is what finally worked.
lose 9 pounds in 11 days!
