Different Way to Lose Weight

I need to lose weight | losing weight | lowe weight the lazy way | weight loss | weightloss

If you are stuck with a few extra pounds, or maybe a lot of pounds.. then you know you need to try a different approach.

But if you are anything like me, you just keep trying the same ways over and over again, you lose a couple of pounds, then you put it back on again. Its a vicious circle.

One way that has worked for me, was to “tortoise it” meaning.. lose it very slowly. For me this worked.

I took a look at my most routine days, which were usually Monday to Friday, and I tried to find approximately 500 calories, that maybe I could shave. Since these days were pretty routine with food, it was hard.

I decided to attack my lunch sandwich. I have always taken a meat and cheese sandwich and loved it, but I decided I was going to do an experiment. Now, remember, I have never been one for looking much at the labels of calories and fat, but decided to take a quick look at the cheese I was using.

I was cutting slices off a long brick of cheese, and I just happened to look at the label, and discovered that there was so many calories in this cheese, they didn’t even have the guts to quote the calories in slices, they did it in “one inch by one inch” cubes. Now those long economical blocks of cheese, are 3 inches wide, so if you were to cut a wedge of one inch, then in reality that contained three cubes which were quoted at 145 calories per cube.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that that would be 435 calories. I am left handed, so my slice cutting was not the best, and I was probably close to the inch mark after I had cut 4 supposedly thin slices of cheese!

Now add mayo… NOT, one good knife full of mayo is 100 calories.. so right there between the cheese and the mayo was over 500 calories. So I changed up my sandwich by adding mustard and no cheese, and really didn’t miss it. I continued to eat what I wanted on the weekends, just attacking my 5 day work week and made no other changes. In two weeks I had lost 2 pounds.. YIPEE! I continued to lose about 3 pounds a month, then it slowed down, when I got to a 20 pound weight loss is 6 months. For me this worked. But if you are wanting to do this quicker, then there are all kinds of proven methods out there.. pick one that you can stick with.. Remember this is a lifestyle change to lose weight.
