Mobile Broadband Internet on the Move

connect to internet | internet | journal | mobile broadband

Ok I’m reconnected to the internet. I’ve got a usb modem so I can use the internet on the go using mobile broadband. I got 3 - three.co.uk. It seems to be working ok so far and really easy to use just plug in and a wizard comes up to install the software. You connect and disconnect to the internet as you want. And can top up £10, £15, £25 a month which gives you different gig usage. So for £15 you get 3 gigs which is about 300 hours a month plus downloads like music, video clips and sending and reading emails. I didn’t get a contract service where you can get higher speeds but I thought this was a cool add on to get for your laptop. But the speed seems quite fast as well which is great as I expected it to be much slower but I tried it out browsing at the shop as well getting to websites was very quick. Vodaphone do a good one which has 3 gigs but over 3megs speed and £20 a month and T-Mobile have one as well which is £20 a month, 3 gig but I think you have to do a direct debit with those ones and also give 30 days notice when you want to stop the service.
