It’s very hot here today. I’ts just beginning to cool down and there’s a bit of wind but I’m living in a city so when it gets very hot it’s better to be somewhere where there’s air conditioning. I don’t know what it is about London but there’s a lot of carpets in the houses. Some apartments have wood floors which are popular but most of them have thick carpets, I suppose because it’s cold in the winter. But sometimes the weather here can get into the 90’s in the summer and rain all winter so it’s better not to have carpets really because either it gets too hot or the damp gets into the carpets from the rain. There’s some quite nice beaches around the coast and specially in the South of England in Cornwall and Devon which are popular places to go in the Summer. They also have some music festivals there as well plus there’s lots of surfing as well.
