As I said in one of my other posts here, I’ll be adding a series of posts on different topics from my other blogs. I’m starting with a selection of posts from MAILBOXMONEY on affiliate programs. Here’s the first one
What’s an Affiliate Program? from Mailboxmoney
Affiliate programs are sites which you can join and earn commissions on by selling their products or getting new members to join. How does it all work?
For example, if you look on the right hand side of this blog you’ll see a list of some free affiliate programs you can join.
Programs like Shareasale, Affiliate Future and Commission Junction are free affiliate programs. Once you join you’ll see lists and lists of different affiliate programs you can join under different categories. These are mostly online shopping services or shops. If you join a Shoe Shop merchant and make sales you’ll get a commission. If you join an online service and get a lead you could also make money for each lead you get. Some programs will even pay you to get visitors to your site. And you can also recruit new members to the main affiliate program like at Affiliate Future and make commissions when your new affiliates start joining online merchants (shops, and business online) and make money for sales, leads or clicks.
If you join a program like My Daily Payday or My Free Giveaway you can make money by reselling products they have listed and you can also download products with Resellers rights so that you can sell them as well. However you do it joining affiliate programs is a real potential money earner. In fact all the main programs offer commissions on money made by the members you refer and if all goes well you could be on your way to having a whole sales team in no time making you money every month almost automatically.
