Stress and Everything Else

stress | stressful | working | writing

Almost everyone deals with some kind of stressful event every day. Some stressful events aren’t too bad, but some can literally drop you to your knees. I’ve been dropped to my knees a few times this year and it was by the grace of God that I was able to get back up and keep on keeping on.

When I’m stressed it is really hard for me to concentrate on my writing. This stresses me out even more. It never ends! I remember when writing was a release for me, but now that I’m trying to make money with it, it feels more like a chore. It’s just one more thing on an endless list of things to do.

Working from home, period, can become very stressful. Finding the time to write, when you live in a “zoo” is very difficult. There is always something going on and most of the time it’s pure and simple drama. It’s so hard for me to separate myself from my other responsibilities so that I can write. The only time that I really have to myself is early in the morning and I’m going to have to start utilizing that time if I want to become a successful writer.

So many people think that being a writer is an easy job. It’s not. It’s challenging and time consuming. Some days are easier than others, but other days those words just don’t want to come out right. When you’re depending on that money and you have writer’s block it becomes a very stressful job.

As time goes on and I strengthen my writing skills, I hope that it becomes a little less stressful and I can enjoy it like I use to. Hopefully I can also make more money. That definitely would make it a lot more enjoyable!

Today’s almost gone and tomorrow is a new day with new possibilities. Let’s see what happens.
