Death Of Test Cricket

cricket | died | india vs australia | sydney test | test cricket

The 2nd test beetween Australia Vs India at sydney will be remembered only for wrong reasons not only for umpiring blunders but also shown what negative spirit Australian cricketers play with Esp: Symonds,Ponting,Clarke & Hussey The list just goes on and on……….

It all started on the 1st day of the Test Match when Ponting had edged Ganguly in the first innings to be caught by MS Dhoni but BAD BENSON gave him a ’life’ but for only once it did not cost India much

Then Australia were 134/6 Andrew Symonds kincked the ball to the keeper but Umpire BLIND BUCKNOR turned down the appeal he was only at 30 at that time and went on to score 162*.

Another Blunder soon followed this time the culprit was AUSTRALIAN BRUCE OXENFORD (3rd Umpire) who ruled ANDEW SYMONDS not out when he was stumped by Dhoni off Anil Kumble and Australians say they play with the right spirit.

Then Came Indian Batting when WASIM JAFFER was bowled by LEE of a NO BALL But Umpire MARK BENSON didn’t saw.

Australia again benefited from Benson’s generosity in the 2nd innings after he ruled in MIKE HUSSEY’S favour even after the batsman had edged RP Singh to Dhoni when he was on 45 and went on to make 145*.

On the last day after a top order collapse, Sourav Ganguly (51) and Rahul Dravid (38) had just steadied the rocking boat when both returned to dubious dismissals.

Dravid had padded an Andrew Symonds delivery that brushed his knee-roll before landing on Adam Gilchrist’s gloves and BUCKNOR ruled the batsman caught behind.

Next was the turn of MARK BENSON who ruled Ganguly out even though MICHAEL CLARKE took a catch that apparently came off the ground.Benson surprisingly preferred not to consider Bucknor or the third umpire and instead asked RICKY PONTING, who gestured that Ganguly was out but for once we know that one bounce catch is out.

This not only shows what spirit australians play in as MICHAEL CLARKE says he has taken the catch which is clearly one bounce ANDREW SYMONDS at the end of the 1st days play admits he had kincked the ball but didnt walked MICHAEL HUSSEY edge one but stayed there may be thats why they are world champions i have a massive doubts weather TEST CRICKET will be alive if this kind of cricket continues i read somewhere on net a guy from USA saying this was first time he was watching TEST CRICKET but if this was the way this game is played i would preffer to continue with SOCCER and BASEBALL.
