Olivia Newton-John will lead a group of celebrities for a charity walk along the Great Wall of China. They’re calling it the Great Walk to Beijing.

This will take place from 7 April, and will last 21 days. It will cover 228 km.

Not all the celebrities will walk the whole distance. It will be an arduous walk along the ups and downs of the Great Wall of China. Amongst those who have made a commitment to join in are Jane Seymour and Cliff Richard.

The walk will raise funds for a cancer research and treatment centre in Melbourne, Australia, where Olivia Newton-John comes from. Newton-John suffered from breast cancer some years ago. As a recovered patient, she’s showing a great dedication to help others combat this disease.

It’s great, and a welcome change, to hear something uplifting about celebrities these days.
