Hello all after some time. In this quite long “blog-entry” which is in fact the first one in year 2007, I will write a bit about the last update of my two main website-variants: http://tadej-ivan.50webs.com/index.html, http://users.volja.net/tayiper/index.html (you can also find links above in the right corner on my articles-pages) that “occured” on 14.1.2007. As you might already know, this main personal computing-related website of mine titled Tadej’s computing homepage (btw. it’s also listed here on “Senserely” site on a “Link To Us” page: http://www.senserely.com/link_to_us.php) mainly contains my various computing-related articles, hints, principles, and rules, while certainly the especially interesting ones are my various discoveries and “tinkering with my PC to the extreme” type of experiences. Also note that the site itself (all its code etc.) was created and is edited only by its author, i.e. that of course means by me/myself and is generally best viewed at resolution 1280 x 1024. I really recommend you to visit it if you are interested in such computing-related stuff.

You see, this time there were almost three months since my last website-update (in particular I haven’t updated it from 24.11.2006), so you can imagine that there are simply just too many things changed/updated and so on, to be able to mention them all, so I’ve decided to mention none; oh, while in regards to various fixes and other such “optional explanations” of some of the changes that I made to site document’s source-code will follow in one of the next “blog-entries”, if that sounds OK to you.

And from this update on onwards, the secondary variant (i.e. the one also linked above, which is hosted on the server of my “Volja”: http://www.volja.net or “Voljatel”: http://www.voljatel.si ISP) might not be updated anymore since I needed to remove the advertisements because of the limitations of one of my advertisers (you know which one I have in mind, I don’t want to explicitly mention it though), however, chances are that it will be updated anyway, since it hosts all the images, scripts, and numerous other such “external” and “support files” (that are linked to also from the other website-variants) and is the only one that supports so-called “remote/hot linking”. Anyways, I hope that you can imagine that it’s quite crucial to me to still use/maintain it.

P.S. - Oh and yes once again, as I wrote in the previous “blog-entry” entitled “50. One blog-related announcement (26.12.2006)”: http://www.senserely.com/tayiper-50_one_blog_related_announc… you may have noticed that I don’t post as frequent as I did here on “Senserely”, and the reason for this is that I am lately giving the preference (over this blog, and my diverse other blogs too; for instance blogs at “CastleCops”, “Spread Firefox”, “kuro5hin”, “Slashdot” etc.) to my new Slovenian blog on “Sopca” site/community: http://www.sopca.com (btw. “sopca” means/translates to “a little room” in Slovenian language), which is yet another wordpress-based CMS. The precise name of the blog is Tadej: spletne objave: http://tadej.sopca.com, which translates to “Tadej: web entries” (while it could also translate to “publications” instead of “entries”), while I posted the first “blog-entry” ever on the 15th October 2006. And maybe yet one more thing/note: before I’ve created and started posting to the mentioned new blog of mine (i.e. the one on “Sopca” site linked above), I was publishing/writing to my old blog and now obsolete blog at “VOLJAblok”: http://blog.volja.net (this is also my ISP’s portal/community), whilst the blog itself is titled Tadej na-liniji: razne objave: http://tayiper.blog.volja.net, and before I ceased using it I’ve posted no less than 34 “blog-entries”.

Regards, Ivan Tadej (user: “tayiper”)

Hello, nice to know about

Hello, nice to know about your updates, but you know I’ve find the most incredible host in dreamhost.com you can get a 97$ discount promo code, so if you buy 2 years you’ll end up paying not much for a lot a lot a lot in a server in the US with a lot of bandwidth and space, incredible, and the admin panel is wonderful.
I can create a promo code for you if you want, no problem as I’m a customer of them now.

I think you should also have a personnality blog in english as well as your own language, because the audience will be larger and you’ll keep on practising your already very good english.

Cheers,
James

Hey James, thanks for ...

Hey James, thanks for commenting; I will let you know soon about that friendly offer (i.e. the promo code) of yours.

In fact you can find many

In fact you can find many such promo on the web, type “97$ dreamhost” because what they do is that each customer can generate promo codes up to 97$, if I generate a promo code of 10$ then I get 87$ when you sign up, if I make a 97$ promo code then I don’t get anything, but you’re still my affiliate, so I don’t know if it helps, but I don’t mind doing one for you, you’d be my first affiliate. Otherwise you can take just any on the web when you sign up, choose a 2 years webhosting, in my opinion that’s the best offer ever. Before I would advise you 1and1 but now it’s definitively dreamhost if you know you can grow, 1and1 for the very cheap price and correct features, but dreamhost for not expensive price and amazing “geeky” features!

Thanks for the explanation ...

Ahha, thanks for the explanation. You know, first I need to “get the facts straight” (or whatever the saying goes) regarding the hosting and domain-name registrations in general, i.e. which one to “do” first, which option or should I say “provider” (or host) is the cheapest and/or the best deal for the money/price etc. I must confess that I am not so experienced in this field”.

Yes I know, but that’s why

Yes I know, but that’s why I tell you that I’ve find the best one, I’m not here to bullshit you with an affiliate link, if I was doing that I would send you to my site with a list of top hosting companies all with a referral link, but I’m not doing that.

About hosting and registration, it’s easy, the domain name registration is included in the price of dreamhost, and the good thing is that your personal data is protected in the whois, that is nobody can know that you own the domain name. Unfortunately on many other registers it’s not the case and your name and email and address and phone in the public whois is the same as the one you entered, so if you want to protect yourself from spammer and curious people, you have to lie in the whois form, which is not very good, better to have your whois information protected by your register company.

So whenever you’ll feel that your web content deserve a professionnal hosting, go for dreamhost, with or without spending some time first looking at the facts.
