Most parents give an arm and leg to help their
children reach the point of being on their own.

However, have you noticed that there are some
teenagers these days who are not happy with just that?

They are not appreciative, they are not respectful,
and they do not care of any one but themselves.

They want you to open your wallet on command and
give them whatever they want.
“What do you mean I should get a job? Yeah, right!”

They seem to think that they can just stay at home
and paychecks will be flying into the mailbox without
them lifting a finger!

Ummmmm… Reality Check!

At some point, the word is Tough Love. Either the kids
have listened to you enough to differentiate between
right and wrong or they will have tough lessons to
learn on their own.

It is not an easy world out there and we try hard as parents
to guide our children in the correct direction.

But if they are not going to listen, then we have done
all we can do because they must then live with the
consequences of their actions.
