Researching the Garlic Issue Where Dogs are Concerned

She Told Me

Did some research today looking for feedback on the issue of giving garlic to dogs.

Now, Garlic and onions are supposed to be related but onions are supposedly more toxic.

Now, there is a mixed bag out there with regard to whether or not one should give their
dog garlic, in any form (pill, powder. chopped, sliced or even half or whole clove)

Now my theory is that if garlic was so bad for the dogs, why are there BrewersYeast with Garlic (pills and powder) to be used for both cats and dogs? If this product was detrimental to the health of animals, I am quite sure it would not be on the market and that animal rights groups would have had it off the shelves a long time ago.

I am looking for some input from this community from anyone who does feed their dog(s) garlic.
Do you have a small, medium or large dog?
If you are feeding the dog garlic, in what form are you giving it? (pill, powder, chopped garlic..etc)
What dosage of garlic are you using per how many pounds?
How many times a day are you feeding the garlic to the dog?
Have you noticed benefits to your dog eating the garlic?

Thanks for your input.
