You’ve got the day planned out like a week earlier.
Gonna get up early, make sure there is gas in the bike, and that
everything you need is in the saddle bags.
In checking 3 different news channel early this morning, they all say
that “THERE IS A CHANCE OF RAIN”.
Generally, a chance of rain has meant that either it wasn’t going to rain at all or
it would just be a light shower.
So you take off for your ride, beautiful countryside scenes and warm sunny weather all the way to your destinaton for a sit down meal with your co-riders.
You decide to take a different route back all the while watching the skies above because there is dark looming clouds moving in.
Can you beat the rain?
You decide not to stop on the way back as you head into a bout of fog.
Then the rain drops begin to pelt you, coming down hard as the wind lashes against you.
For safety sake, you decrease your speed in the curves but still you press on.
You know that there is an end to the rain and that you will dry off before you know it.
It is now a race against another torrential downpour.
Pedal to the metal and you begin to feel the sprinkles…
As you pull into your driveway and roll into the garage…
A ride in the rain isn’t so bad, but a sunny day is much preferred…
