A guy in Japan knew something was up when food started to disappear from his home.
In an attempt to solve the mystery of the missing food, he installed a security camera that was able to transmit images to his cell phone. When he received images of someone moving around his home, he called the police, however the officers responding to his call found the doors and windows closed and locked. Nothing seemed amiss. After searching the home from top to bottom, they opened a small top compartment of his closet and found a woman curled up in the confined space.
The 58 year-old woman, who had nowhere to live, admitted to sneaking into the man’s home about a year ago when he left his home unsecured. Over the past year she lived undetected in the closet, coming out to shower and eat when the man was gone. She even managed to move a small mattress into the space.
According to news reports, her unwitting host described her as being clean and neat.
I don’t know what program he was using with the security camera, but it sounds just like VISEC. After trying their downloadable free version, I decided that this simple and relatively inexpensive program is the choice for my home video security system.
