The German Clock Museum is located in the town of Furtwangen and in the center of the Black Forest’s clock making region. The 150+ year old collection of Black Forest clocks is the largest and most complete collection in the world and is a fitting display of the rich history, tradition and culture of the region.
In addition to the collection of Black Forest clocks, the museum displays clocks and watches from all over the world which provides a complete history of horology.
The museum is a must-see for anyone interested in horology or the history of the Black Forest region of Germany.
Tours can be arranged in German, English ans French and will answer all questions relating to the crafting and workings of these cuckoo and musical clocks.
The museum is open daily from 9AM to 6PM from April to October and from 10AM to 5PM from November to March. Standard entrance fee is 4 Euros with group and family discounts available.
