What’s up with Salt Lake City? Is this the home of the Mormons or the home of scammers and telephone marketers?
So many scams come out of this area. I remember several years ago getting invites to “business seminars” that were held at metropolitan area hotels “just call to reserve your seat before they are gone” and “free lunch” sort of thing.
I had nothing better to do and happened to have some time off during one of these seminars and decided to attend one in Dallas. They were very nice. Opening the seminar with one of those “break the ice” techniques, get to know the people sitting next to you sort of thing. Doris the hairdresser and her hubby Herb the taxidermist on the right and Jimmy the “Entrepreneur” on the left…This was followed by TONS of info on how you can get rich with gumball machines and how a merchant account is essential to becoming a successful business person…Blah, Blah, Blah…Make money by giving away vacation packages…Blah, Blah. Blah…Almost time for sandwiches! But first the pressure sell..you HAVE to take this opportunity now! Once we end the seminar, we can’t offer these packages at this incredible discount! ALL RIGHT! Doris and Herb are on their way to becoming rich!
Why was I going on about this? All of the presenters were out of Utah. All the contact numbers were in the Salt Lake City area. Now I’m seeing the same thing online! I guess diploma mills are their latest scam.

As for me, I don’t need a “Doctoraate degree.. that’s recognised in most countries” (as worthless!) “Lookie here, y’all! I gots my Doctoraate degree fer Rockit Surgeryin’ in the mail!”
