This is the first in a series of entries describing my work to make Blooklot.com a successful site.
A few days ago, a friend and I started the site. Total costs were $70 for the domain and hosting for a year.
What is the site about? A “Blook” is a book that is published sequentially in forum or blog posts. In other words, at Blooklot, you would create a topic with the title of your book, then publish each chapter in replies to the topic.
So far, it’s had trouble catching on. Today, Ethan from Blogfeast created an account, saying he has a book or two that he could post on the site. Hopefully this is a sign of further registrations to come, but the going is tough.
We’re financing the site with an adsense box near the top of the web pages. Our goal, of course, is to get 70 or so dollars, at least, in adsense earnings before our one year of hosting is up.
Expect more posts about the site to come.
