Check out my new site- Blooklot.com!
In the time I’ve spent blogging, I’ve noticed a lot of writings by fellow users on the internet. Many are excerpts from a novel that they have written, while others are the starts to a novel. Others may just be short stories.

What do all of these have in common? None have been accepted by publishers. In many cases, the writers may not even have tried to get the book published. They have no way of getting the book out to the world through traditional methods.

That’s where my site comes in- Blooklot.com. A blook is a book published, in segments, in a blog- in other words, one chapter is posted in one blog entry, the next posted in the second entry, and so on. This is a way for novelists to see their books published and accessible to anyone with an internet connection.

Blooklot.com takes this idea one step further. Some blooks are already up on the internet, but each is on its own website- there’s no directory or forum where users can browse through blooks or create their own. Blooklot.com serves as a “blooking hub” where users can access a wide variety of blooks, as well as being able to create their own. Now, instead of having to create their own site or search the internet for blooks to read, users on Blooklot can publish their novel on a site filled with people looking for a good blook to read, as well as being able to access a wide variety of blooks on one site. Blooklot is forum based, with categories for each genre of blook. Users sign up to it and post their novel in a topic: for example, if your book was called “Ducks and Clouds,” you would create a topic of the same title and publish your book in it, post by post. In between, users could offer advice and feedback.

Of course, you don’t have to have already written a novel. At Blooklot, you can also publish your short stories, or write your very first book- users on the site will offer advice and support to help you complete it. Even if you decide not to write a book or short story, you can still read the blooks hosted on the site.

Once again, the URL is http://www.blooklot.com . Whether you use it to publish that manuscript that you never got out to the world, or perhaps just to browse around and read other blooks on the site, I would be honored to have you visit. Registration is free and simple.

Hope to see you there!
