Writers write. Whether they get paid or not writing is a way of life for many people these days. Creative writing is great, you can enjoy the moment be anyone you like and do anything you want to do on that computer screen or sheet of paper. That’s not to neglect the fact that all writing is creative to some degree, even freelance writing that involves producing web content.

Getting paid for writing is great - especially to begin with. The problem with getting paid, and especially being paid as a freelancer is that awful word, deadline. If you don’t get your copy in on time then you may not get another job from that client. Unfortunately sometimes writing mindless web content can stifle the creative aspect of writing.

I really have neglected this blog but I have had an awful lot of writing work. And then, believe it or not I decided to sign up for nanowrimo. So I am committed to try and finish a novel before December the first whether that is going to happen remains to be seen.

I have a story outline and have now written several chapters a lot depends on how many words a day I think I can manage between now and the deadline date. I’m sure it’s possible if I don’t eat or sleep or do any of those things other than writing that keep us alive.

I had a writing deadline today. It has taken me all day to finish a job that should only have taken a couple of hours but I just could not find the necessary information.

It’s done now but this has meant that most of my day has gone into a writing assignment that was not in the least enjoyable. Oh well, that’s life I suppose. Next time I may be complaining because there is insufficient work. No pleasing me at the moment I am afraid

and anyone else reading. I am away for the next week and without my computer. I don’t know how I will cope with out it, maybe I’ll try to find an internet cafe or something. This is just to explain my absence to admin.I will be writing in notebooks and posting on my return. In the meantime Please don’t delete my account.

Life is funny sometimes I started blogging two months ago. Writing is now a much larger part of my life and keeps evolving. For the last four weeks I have been freelancing and then a couple of days ago I started a squidoo lens. Today I opened a store primarily aimed at women bloggers on the cafepress site.

Writing regularly has brought a lot of changes to my life. I am no spring chicken and it is quite strange to be embarking on all these new ventures. So, that’s my brief take on life, writing, and cafepress.

What do you do when life, the Universe, and everything seem to get in your way? My response is to try and write it out. Writing is especially useful for expressing grief and grief is on my mind as I lost my only sister three weeks ago tomorrow.

Grief interferes with your life. It prevents you from doing things if it is not properly expressed because it is always there at the back of your mind. Grief is a universal phenomenon. Everyone who loses someone close to them has to cope with the emotion of grief. Our universe is not well set up to help us with this. We can hope that we will meet that person again but there are no concrete guarantees.
