Harley Davidson Motorcycle Safety Tip

| | | |

I was reading an article recently about motorcycle safety and it was mentioned that one of the biggest causes of accidents is when a driver in a car turns left in front of a bike. I imagine this is one of the most frequent causes of accidents even if it’s only cars involved as well.

The author of the article who was a motorcycle cop pointed something out that I always felt was one of those no brainers. He was talking about how many riders feel that one of the ways to avoid an accident, whether it’s with that left turning cager in front of you or any car for that matter, is to make eye contact with the driver.

Muscletech Gakic Review

| | | | |

A funny sounding bodybuilding supplement has recently been introduced by Muscletech. Gakic, also known as glycine-l-arginine-alpha-ketoisocaproic acid has been in development for about 8 years by Muscletech.

What Does Gakic Do?

GAKIC is a pre-workout supplement that is designed to help your body remove toxins that are released when you fatigue your muscles. Research has shown that two of these toxins, ammonia and lactic acid, can be reduced by taking Gakic prior to working out. The theory is that when you reduce these fatigue toxins, you will allow yourself to lift more weight and for longer periods before you actually fatigue the muscle. Clearly, if you can lift more weight, your muscles will grow bigger, faster.

Blast Your Chest with this Workout

| | | |

One of the most impressive muscle groups for a bodybuilder has to be the pectorals. There is nothing quite as intimidating and imposing as that armor plated look that a seasoned bodybuilder has who has trained his chest muscles correctly. From the upper pecs that almost look like armor plating, down to the lower sweep of the muscle where it attaches to the lower shoulder, a complete chest will definitely turn heads when you take off your shirt.

So how to get that look? Well, first remember that as in all aspects of bodybuilding, nothing happens overnight! You have to train with intensity, regularly and intelligently. Proper rest and diet are probably as important if not more important than your actual training so do not neglect those!

Bodybuilding Myths Exposed

| | | | |

To most outsiders, the world of bodybuilding must seem freakish. Images of huge, deeply muscled physiques strutting and posing in the tiniest of speedo type posing trunks leaves most people looking on with their mouths hanging open. The problem is that the professional bodybuilders that everyone associates with the sport are not the majority. They are the elite of the elite. Here are the Top 10 Bodybuilding Myths Exposed:

  1. If I Start Lifting Weights I’ll Look Like A Bodybuilder
  2. Let’s put this one to rest right off the top. In all my years of training people, the first thing I hear from clients, especially women, is that they do not want to get “huge” and musclebound. My answer is always the same, “Trust me, you will never, ever look like that. Even if you wanted to, you wouldn’t”. Here’s a reality check: The professional bodybuilders that we see are the elite of the elite. They live and breath bodybuilding. They spend hour upon hour in the gym lifting poundages that would astound most people. They eat huge amounts of food that would gag most people. They have incredible genetics that allow for perfect musculature. And most importantly, they all use huge amounts of anabolic steroids, growth hormone, insulin and other drugs to get where they are at. The bottom line is that 99% of anyone who starts lifting would come nowhere near that type of body.

Blast Your Biceps To Force Them To Grow

| | | | | | |

Have you ever thought about this? Your arms are probably the most widely seen muscle group on your body. Think about it for a minute. From the time you were a kid, if somebody said to you, “Show me your muscles”, what did you do? Boom…bicep pose. Try it on any 10 year old or for that matter, any 30 year old!

Massive arms are very impressive and actually quite intimidating to non lifters. Anytime you see a huge set of arms busting through a tight fitted shirt, it’s impressive.

As with most muscle groups, some people have an easier time building up one part of their body over another. For me, my arms, especially my triceps have always been fairly easy to build. I’ve found in over 25 years of lifting that one of the biggest mistakes people can make with many body parts and especially their arms is that they overtrain. Have you heard me talk about this before? It is something I keep harping on because it is true! As I mentioned in one of my previous articles, Why Can’t I Get Bigger?, over training is the number one reason most guys do not succeed in the gym.

Diet and Exercise Program For Permanent Weight Loss Part 1

| | | | |

To lose weight sensibly, you must first have an understanding of your Basic Metabolic Rate (BMR). To figure your BMR, take your weight and divide by 2.2. This will give you your weight in kilograms. Take this figure and multiply it by .9 (1.0 for men). Then, take this figure and multiply it by 24. This would be your BMR. So, if your weight is 200lb, divided by 2.2 your weight in kg is 90.91. Multiplied by .9 is 81.82. Multiplied by 24 is 1963.68. This figure (1963.68) would be the calories you would burn if you did nothing but lay in bed all day. Obviously you do more than that. A person who is moderately sedentary (at a desk all day with little or no exercise) can assume they’ll burn another 500 calories or so. Therefore, you would need to consume about 2463.68 calories per day just to maintain your weight.

Most people assume that to lose weight they need to go on a “starvation” diet. Nothing could be further from the truth and is the worst thing you could do. By “starving” yourself you always force your body to slow it’s metabolism down further. You know you are dieting but your body thinks it is being starved and will do whatever is needed to survive and what it needs to survive is to slow down the metabolism to conserve fat! You will lose weight but as soon as you start eating normally (and you eventually will) your body says, “OH! Now I’m getting more calories! I better store them as fat in case I get starved again!” At this point, your body will regain the weight that was lost and then add even more weight to protect itself from any future reduction in calories.

This is physiological fact. People do not want to believe this but it is a basic tenet of nutrition. Ask yourself this question: “Why am I still trying to lose weight over and over?”

The solution is not dieting. The solution is a lifestyle change. You must accept the fact that starvation diets are not a long term solution. Instead, simply deduct 500 calories from your maintenance intake. Try to stick to this program and make it a way of life rather than a quick fix. If you were the 200lb example as stated above, you need to eat approximately 1900 calories/day to lose weight sensibly.

Remember though that everyone is different and this figure is not etched in stone. You might find that you need to cut a bit more or less. It is something that needs to be adjusted to your body. The only “for sure” is that if you go on a starvation diet (1000-1500 calories/day) you will only set yourself up to fail in the long term.

You’re out to dinner with some friends at a great Italian restaurant that just opened. Everyone is waiting for dinner and a bottle of wine is opened. You all start enjoying the wine and everyone says, “That is a really nice bottle of wine”. Your wife says, “Isn’t that great wine?” You oblige and say, “Yes”

Dinner comes. All types of pasta, seafood and meat dishes all loaded with garlic, herbs, seasonings and spices. Everyone is oohing and aaahing over how good everything is and when you’re all leaving the restaurant, one of your friends asks you how your meal was. You politely answer, “It was really good!”

Get Paid To Surf The Internet

This article was originally posted by myself at ezinearticles.com

A few years ago a group of very entrepeneurial internet savvy gentlemen started a company called AllAdvantage. Alladvantage actually paid it’s members to surf the internet. Sound fishy? Well it’s not and it paid some very regular people a very decent amount of money.

The wonderful Alladvantage finally came to an end however when the big dotcom bubble burst in 2000. There was no risk to any of it’s members but due to circumstances out of their control and basically just bad timing. Alladvantage closed shop. The concept was brilliant but the timing was poor.

Make money with video sharing

I have been spending more and more time lately trying to come up with ways to monetize more of my websites and blogs. I’ve been involved in internet e-commerce for about 8 years and have made a VERY nice living.

But lately I’ve discovered that I’ve had my head buried so deep into my e-commerce that I missed out on a lot of great revenue ideas for other sites.

The latest one I’ve discovered is videoblogging and sharing video revenue. There is a great site called Revver.com that lets you actually share the money they make off of advertising on their hosted videos.
