I am constantly reporting spam. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one on the planet doing this. I’m sure that is not the case.
Everybody loves to receive postcards!
Recently I have been bombarded with spammy emails that have the word “postcard” in the subject along with something like “Your class mate has sent you a postcard” or “New Postcard from your friend has arrived”.
I was reporting these types of spam emails tonight. I usually report to every IP I can come up with by doing a little research on the headers and the links inside the email.
Hi,
I was reading at Matt Cutt’s blog again last night and came across his disclaimer page. There were a lot of comments, mostly bantering and friendly ones, entered about his disclaimer page. His point, of course, is to be a blogger and be able to share his personable side without having Google liable for any stupid comments that he puts, or allows, on his blog. Many great SEO tips can be found at Matt’s blog.
Maybe you do not know who Matt Cutts is, and admittedly, I did not know much either until this past April Fools Day 2007, when a big thread created, on Digital Point, about his blog being hacked, prompted me to read a bit more about him. I made up my mind that weekend that I would, in future years, NOT be on the internet on April 1st to find out any valuable or truthful information. LOL. I felt a certain bond with Matt and his family after I read that he was a graduate of University of Kentucky. :) (Oh! Kentucky) I didn’t graduate from that college, but I live in Kentucky, so there’s the little bond.
I let my son play free flash games at a couple of sites on the internet and I was watching him the other day and noticed there were some not so age appropriate (to him) ads on the site. He was clicking on them and went to an adult dating site, um!
I have since downloaded the parental control Toolbar and have set it so that he will not run up on any inappropriate websites that are flashing webcam shots of almost to complete nude people. I still let him play games, but if he clicks on something that takes him to an unacceptable site, it will be blocked.
All of our adult sites should have a label on them by their owners. I recommend webmasters to create a free label for your site to indicate it is adult material content.
Once you have been approved as a publisher for adsense, you are free to go and put your code on future websites that you create. I guess most of us are aware of this:
Site Content
While Google offers broad access to a variety of content in the search index, publishers in the AdSense program may only place Google ads on sites that adhere to our content guidelines, and ads must not be displayed on any page with content primarily in an unsupported language click here and scroll down to Site Content for a very clear list of what is appropriate.
Each year a handful of our family members study over the Kentucky Derby line-up and we all pick out our horses that will win. The Kentucky Derby Race is held at Churchill Downs, we can’t get our act together enough to actually go to the live derby party on-site. Somebody is usually sick, or can’t get off work or some other random reason.
This year we have had a damper on our joy about the Kentucky Derby because we (3 out of 5) chose a horse last year that won and we again selected him to win the second round in the run for the crown at the Preakness event. Our horse was quite feisty and did win the derby, but his performance during the Preakness Stakes became the death of him. We have not had any enthusiasm this year, not because of the money, but because of the sadness over Barbaro.
I haven’t had a clothes dryer for a long time, you know? The rental police nabbed it last year when I quit my job working at the Kahns Bologna slicing shop. Anyhow, I do fine with the occasional paid laundry facilities and the constant hanging up of wet clothes on hangers in the bathroom on the the shower curtain rod. Plus, I don’t have to worry about that one thing that used to happen to our pet cats. I’m so elegant, ya just know it!
When the heater furnace is on, the clothes dry in a few hours no problem. This week, of course being 75f/25c, there is no furnace on. I had child#4’s and #5’s
Hi,
I was reading another Senserely Blog Member’s entry and found out that there is a big debate in New Zealand on whether you should smack your children.
I am a parent and I will tell you straight off that raising children without EVER giving them a swat is next to impossible for ME.
One Sunday Morning, Brother Pike, my Pastor at the the Church I attended in the early 1990’s, included a rather unrelated to sermon tidbit in his delivery. He said, “Show me a parent that has raised 3 boys and claims they never had to give a spank to them and I’ll show you a liar.” This brought about a few knowing knods in the congregation. As I remember, there had been a local crime in the prior week befor the sermon that involved a youth that had killed his family, Brother Pike was giving a little reference to discipline in his comments on the tragedy that had recently emerged.
We all need to be careful when we decide on buying visitors and traffic to our websites that have Google Adsense published on them.
I try to monitor my traffic and see where it arrives from and I noticed that one of the traffic exchange sites I was signed up with had sent me a visitor via popunder during traffic surfing.
First of all, I hate pop up, in, and under ads or messages. Second of all, this was not what I had signed up for when I agreed to exchange traffic. I don’t want to be some dumb pop up message, I want a regular page view just like the rest of the people surfing. I was a bit teed off by being displayed this way and I sent the company an email and didn’t get an answer, so I have not been logged into their surf program for what seems like weeks now.
I have finally taken the steps to join all the others out there that are using the digital cameras.
I have chosen the Kodak EasyShare model C433 4 mega pixel and I feel that I have gotten a pretty good deal on a pretty nice camera. This is my first one besides those little cheap web cam things.
This camera can travel with me and take video and photos and it even crops and zooms. You can edit photos right inside of the camera screen, pretty amazing!
This one puts out a 120 dpi. Dpi is used for printer communication from what I have come to understand. I am in the process of trying to figure out how to make these less right now, I need to shorten them to a 72 dpi, and I’ve been browsing and posting around different places this morning trying to get some valuable input so that I can meet the requirements of a project I am working on.
I remember when I got my first credit and it was from a department store. The credit was only 200.00 dollars but I felt happy about being able to go to the mall and buy some junk with a card. I had a minimum wage job and had applied for regular cards like Visa and Mastercard and been denied a few times by those.
But one day I was offered an application at a department store and I filled it out and was approved. After paying for a few months on it in good standing I started receiving invites to other credit card places including the big names that denied me previously.
My car needed new tires so the second card I opted for was at a local tire shop. I paid that off in two months and was offered a higher limit and I really didn’t think that was necessary. I mean, how many tires can I buy in a year?
