In a computer age there is the need to have an advantage in order to ’survive’ in the job market. Here are some tips:

STAY CURRENT
You have to keep up with developments in technology. That doesn’t mean you have to read every technical magazine. Rather,concentrate on your profession and learn how computer technology is being used in it. Participate in interest groups on the internet. Maintain your computer competency.

DEVELOP PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS
Maintain contact with people in your field. It can keep you abreast not only of new information but also of new job possibilities.

A lot has been said on how to study. There is so much to read about how to study. Some books are so big that by the time you read through them, you could have learned enough to pass your exams.
