Today i want to share with you my discovery of Ubuntu.I was always a great fan of Windows, my 12yrs cousin was a fan of Linux. Three years ago he got a Suse 9.0 personal install cd so he asked me to install it on his pc but to make a dual boot.
So i searched for 2 days on the linuxquestion forum for the best way to make it without crashing his windows.I finally manage, but i got problem install his internet connection.Me who has always be use the install button was getting mad at various linux command!
But i managed after nearly a week with lots of online help from various linux support.
Then came suse 10 so we got a DVD version from a Magazine, install it and everythings went nicely.
This year he got a crash!And the DVD was loss! He was very upset, we even download the iso but its was corrupted.
Then came the Ubuntu its was a Single iso and the beauty of all its was shipped For FREE!
After a month i got my Ubuntu 5.10, the installation was not so nice but its was ok.
The internet connection was easy the Gnome desktop was nice which make you completely feel that you are on a different OS.
My God i kept exploring every part of it ,it has more support, more downloads you install what you really want and the Ubuntu forum is of a great help.
I invite all of you to test Ubuntu for once in your Life!
