Okay, if you’re actually blogging for fame, you’re likely to be disappointed. But sometimes it can find you all the same. A few weeks back I wrote a two-part series on “Carnival Midway Game Secrets” based on my past work as a carny. One result was that I just concluded a 30 minute telephone call with Kevin Cowherd, a columnist for the Baltimore Sun newspaper.
Mr. Cowherd is working on an article about the county fair that’s coming to his town and was seeking some inside information. Carnival games aren’t the focus of my blog, but they are a part of my personal history that I decided to share. While I’m not being directly compensated in any way for the interview I will receive a little fame in the Baltimore area and a pretty nice link back to my blog, where Adsense will hopefully receive a few clicks as well.
I’m pleased that my experiences will help out people an entire continent away from me, and my daughter is excited as all get out that her dad’s going to be in the newspaper.
